Montsaye Academy, Rothwell, Northants

New Sports Centre

The design involved extending the existing sports hall and swimming pool facilities on the Montsaye Academy site and linking the two elements together to create a Sports Centre for use by the students and the public. The brief included doubling the size of the existing sports hall to include 4 badminton courts, indoor cricket nets, new changing facilities, refurbishment of the swimming pool to include a new thermally efficient structure, new plant, changing facilities and the provision of a viewing area. The scheme was designed in accordance with Sport England requirements.
