Care home refurbishment for residents with neurological disabilities 

The building, formerly an elderly care home, was completely gutted internally and re-planned to provide 8 No en-suite bedrooms for specialist residential care for people suffering from neurological disabilities. The residents were to be re-housed from another facility requiring the construction works to be complete in 12 weeks. A 2-stage negotiated tender procedure expedited an early start on site to achieve the necessary completion date.  The works also included the conversion of the loft space into administration offices in the old part of the building which necessitated careful structural detailing and planning.
