Shop Front Refurbishment

The SWB brief was to reinvigorate the building frontage to emphasise the principles of the Sheinman Opticians profile. The existing grey façade was replaced with a modern frontage which unifies the upper and lower stages of the building. At street level the inclined window frames, rusticated contrasting ‘Trespa’ cladding, bold illuminated lettering and expanded aluminium lath banners provide a modern aesthetic to an established town centre building. Internal alterations also increased the ground floor dispensing area. This mixture of the modern and the traditional creates a new approach to shop front design in this part of Northampton.
